It was founded by her husband and close friends in 1996 right after Mrs. Yvonne’s death. It is managed by the Rotary Club of Tegucigalpa, Honduras. It assists people with scarce resources, by helping them to pay for medical exams and emergencies. All medical expenses are paid by the Foundation with no charge. Vonne donates part of its profits to the Foundation with hopes of growing its reach to help more causes and also help expand its funds to improve & support “El Hospital Escuela” a public hospital where Mrs. Yvonne was taken care of right before her death. Hospital Escuela is the only public hospital in Tegucigalpa, it lacks sufficient funding, medicines and equipment to properly attend patients and emergencies. This is a way to thank them for taking care of Mrs. Yvonne on her last days.
